All-Heart Redwood
- Best quality comes from the heart or center
of the tree and is characterized by a deep, rich reddish brown color
and a dramatic grain and smooth textured.
- Has natural beauty and texture without a finish and
over time the appearance improves as it takes on a deeper luster.
Most other woods need stain and finishes to bring out their
character.
- Strong enough to hold any wine bottle and soft
enough to naturally resistant to rot and mildew. Redwood unlike
cedar has no aroma that can invade the wine through the cork.
Clear Redwood
- Premium Clear Redwood has a variety of colors from
white to pink to dark purple swirled and streaked together.
- Although it lacks the resistance to decay possessed
by all-heart, Premium Clear Redwood is also beautiful without the
need for a finish and is non-aromatic.
